Broadly we can offer independent financial advice in the following areas;

• Personal tax mitigation including capital gains tax
• Protection products such as Life Cover, Income Protection and Critical Illness
• Employee Benefits including Group Personal Pension Scheme and Group Life Cover

However, whilst we cover a wide range of financial planning needs, we specialise in the areas of Investments, Pensions and Inheritance Tax Planning. Our work involves advising clients on their investment portfolios, taking advantage of tax efficient wrappers, using risk profiling and asset allocation tools, with a view to creating and protecting their wealth.

We provide our advice services to Individuals and their family members, as well as business owners and their employees.

ENGAGEMENT

After our initial consultation meeting, if we believe that we may be able to assist you, we will discuss the advice process that will be followed and agree our method of remuneration for the work to be undertaken.

THE ADVICE PROCESS

The advice process we shall follow will be;

Phase 1 – Initial Consultation (30 minutes to 1 hour)

We offer an initial meeting at our expense – allowing us to discuss your situation, how we might work together and the costs of the advice.

Phase 2 – Current Position & Personal Goals (2 to 3 hours)

At this stage we discuss your personal circumstances and your current financial position. This will involve collecting details (data gathering) so that we can establish a complete assessment of your situation and your objectives and goals. For example, we will need to know details of your income details, expenditure, assets, liabilities, your existing investments and your tax position. We shall explain how these details build a profile which will assist us in formulating our plan. At this stage, we may also use risk profiling tools and may gather information from your other professional advisers.

Phase 3 – Analysis and Financial Plan (3 to 6 hours)

We shall review legislation, tax and benefit rules that are relevant to your circumstances. The information gathered will be analysed in order to identify your needs. The market will be researched to identify the most suitable product(s) taking into account the tax treatment of possible solutions and product features that will be mandatory or desirable. A report will be prepared for you detailing our recommendations.

Phase 4 – Implementation (2 to 3 hours)

Having discussed the recommendations in our Report with you, we will require your acceptance to implement the plans. We will complete and submit all the necessary paperwork, including any trust documentation required, to the recommended providers.

We shall ensure all products and investments are established in line with agreed action and documentation issued is correct.

Phase 5 – Review

We will discuss our 4 different Service Levels and ask you to select the one most suitable for your needs. The costs of the ongoing service will be discussed and agreed. The review dates will be agreed, unless you have selected the Transactional service option.

The purpose of regular monitoring your Plan is to enable you to discuss with us the progress being made towards your financial goals and make any adjustments if necessary. Our experience shows that regular monitoring of Plans is valued by clients and helps build a close relationship.
